We all know that cats love comfort & familiarity - their home, their routine, and their people. Things like traveling in the car and visiting the vet can be outside of their comfort zone and make many cats feel anxious or stressed.

Summer Street Cat Clinic would like to work closely with you to keep your cat's visit with us as stress-free as possible! Our goal is to make visits to our clinic easier for you and your cat.

When you come to one of our clinics we strive to provide:

• Quiet, noise-free, dog-free buildings

• Short wait times

• Calming pheromones sprayed on towels & surfaces

• Low-stress handling provided by licensed, experienced veterinary technicians

For cats who are especially nervous, we can discuss ways to improve future visits:

• Appointments at the beginning of our morning or afternoon hours are often the quietest and quickest appointments.

• Pheromones can be used in your cat's carrier before travel to help give your cat a feeling of calm.

• Safe, effective medication to calm & slightly sedate can help your cat feel much more relaxed and less worried & anxious. This medication can be given as a capsule by mouth or as a powder mixed into canned food.
